Northwest of the village of Wittlingen (Bad Urach) in the "Linken Wittlinger Felsen" on the Swabian Jura is this rock arch.
From Bad Urach, take the B465 south towards Seeburg. Then turn left towards Wittlingen. At the hairpin bend, take the small road on the left heading north and follow the "Schanz" sign. After approx. 450 m turn left and left again to the forest car park (UTM 32U 532205 5369237) and park there. Head south-west up the road for about 200m to the bend. There, take the narrow path to the left into the forest and continue downhill for about 300 m in a southerly direction. Then take the path along the slope sharply to the right. After 500m turn left (UTM 32U 531519 5368944). The rock gate is then reached after a further 50 m.
